Video editor interface
The editor keeps global project controls at the top, visual work in the center, properties at the side, and timing at the bottom.
Top bar
- Exit to HUD returns to the recorder.
- Undo and redo move through supported editing actions.
- The project title and saving state identify the current project.
- Discord opens the Beam community.
- Export Video opens the export controls.
Canvas and toolbar
The canvas previews the composed frame. Its toolbar changes the output aspect ratio, enters crop mode, toggles the alignment grid, and controls viewport zoom without changing the exported composition.

- Canvas controls the output background and presentation surface.
- Clip controls the selected video, webcam, audio, blur, image, or caption clip.
- Zoom edits a selected zoom block or generates automatic zooms.
- Cursor controls appearance, click feedback, and motion.
- Captions generates or styles text and keyboard captions.
- Audio controls global, system, and microphone levels.
- Settings controls application preferences and recorder access.
Timeline toolbar
- Add imports video, image, sound, text, or blur items.
- Split divides the selected clip at the playhead.
- Magnet snapping aligns edits to nearby boundaries.
- Playback controls jump to the beginning or end and play or pause.
- Timeline zoom changes the visible time scale.
Timeline tracks
Tracks represent video, webcam, blur, zoom, text captions, keyboard captions, system audio, and microphone audio when those sources exist. Select, move, reorder, trim, split, enable, or unlink supported items from the composition.
