Canvas

Canvas controls the output area outside and behind visual clips. Background and watermark settings apply to the complete composition.

Image and video backgrounds

Image	AVIF, BMP, JPEG, JPG, PNG, WebP	Shows 15 items initially; Show more reveals additional batches.
Video	M4V, MOV, MP4, OGV, WebM	Shows 15 items initially; Show more reveals additional batches.
Import	A supported local background file	Adds the selected file to the corresponding background library.

Color backgrounds

Choose a built-in color or edit a custom hexadecimal value. The custom editor updates the background preview live.

Gradient backgrounds

Watermark

Watermark is disabled by default. Enable it to place Beam branding, a label, or a logo above the composition.
